Am just sorting out the office / studio as we are moving this summer and came upon this old book i bought when i was living in Brighton.
It's a really lovely crimson coloured hard backed book, written completely in French. I painted over the pages with emulsion and started using it as a visual journal. Have just added the last page 'Heartburn' as I seem to have had it for days! Will definitely keep this little book going. Might even set it as a project for the new students!

Received this journal submission today! 1st submission!!!! WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I've just got back today from a week in Scotland and have been doing lots of weird crazy things in my journal. I scanned a page from it so you can blog it. It might look a bit poop but hey, I guess thats how weird I am to draw things like this.
When travelling to Scotland I just came up with ideas like drawing unrelated objects and muddling them together, well I guess it tells a story but that's the art of it I guess, to assume what story is behind what people create.
I think some of my ideas are really strong and I'm gonna illustrate them tonight with my tablet! :)
I took some amazing photographs too, the scenery there is amazing. If you want to see some photos I took I'll send you some.
Anyway.. I've attached the image.

OK, so I have taken an age trying to see if others can post their journal entries direct. The best I can do is for you to email me your entries with a name and any blog's or sites (or anon if you prefer) and I will post them. Spread the word, it could be fun!
Anyway, I am going to kick off with some journal pages of John Copeland (http://johncopeland.com/) from the book 'Drawing from Life: The Journal as Art' by Jennifer New. I find John's books absolutely inspirational!!!!
